If fat is not a feeling that people have, why would Facebook make it an emoticon and people use it after thanksgiving dinner, after Christmas when they ate too much, or when they don’t have that great of self esteem? You have to pick your battles. I barely grasp why this emoticon offended people, but there is plenty more degrading and offensive stuff out there that should be dealt with (in my opinion) like pornography that ruins so many relationships and families a year. Anyways. I guess I understand where you are going with this, but people need freedom of speech, and if I want to post that I am feeling fat in a given day through the Facebook emoticon list, then that should be entirely my decision.
